Worked from the top down, this circular yoke tee begins with a striped and textured collar that uses a variation on the herringbone stitch. The sleeves are finished with the same striped band. There’s a slight swing to the silhouette, with additional ease in the back, for an easy loose fit in the bust and waist. Wear it with anywhere from 2 - 5” of ease.

Monarri was designed with silk, linen and cotton blends in mind for a perfect warm-weather top, but any fingering weight yarn will do. The herringbone edgings can be fiddly and will take more time to knit than most rows/rounds because each stitch is worked twice, but the effect is worth it. The structure of the herringbone is important for the neckline, but the armband detail could be substituted for garter stitch for additional stretch.

While the sample uses two colours of Sweet Georgia’s generous skeins of Flaxen Silk Fine, the contrast colour requires very little yardage. Look in your stash for options.

7 Women’s Sizes: (1/2) (3/4/5) (6/7), (33/37.75) (42/46/50) (54/58.5)” finished bust  (All measurements given in inches.)

Choosing a size: Make note of the armband circumference, as the stitch pattern here has little give. Each size has two armband circumference options, so review all the measurements on the schematic to make your size choice.
